  • Because we only use high-quality and wear-resistant materials and follow strict quality and testing procedures.

  • What is the fuel consumption of my engine?
  • There is no straightforward answer to this question. Fuel consumption depends on the operational profile of your vessel and therefore we advise you to contact our sales representatives here.

After-service

  • Where do I find parts & service manuals?
  • Several copies of the manuals are supplied with every new engine. When lost, or when you are not the first owner, please contact a Regional Headquarter or Service Agent.

  • Where do I find Yanmar service dealers?
  • Via the dealer locator on this website or by contacting a Regional Headquarter.

  • Where do I purchase YANMAR genuine parts?
  • You can buy them at every certified Yanmar service agent within our dealer network, when specifying your engine type and serial number.

  • What are the maintenance costs of my engine?
  • It is not a straight answer. Maintenance costs depend on the operational profile and fuel consumption of your vessel and therefore we advise you to contact our sales representatives here.

  • Yes, YANMAR applies in two ways:
    1. YANMAR SCR unit (using exhaust gas after-treatment units)
    2. YANMAR DUAL FUEL & gas engines (using alternative fuel sources)

  • SELECTIVE CATALYTIC REDUCTION


    SELECTIVE: Targets NOX in the exhaust Gas
    CATALYTIC: Requires a catalyst
    REDUCTION: NOX is reduced to Nitrogen (N2)

    Our network is devided into High Speed engines network and Medium Speed engine service agents.

  • WHEN DO I NEED A MEDIUM SPEED YANMAR ENGINE AND WHEN A HIGH SPEED ENGINE?
  • Medium Speed engine is used when 100% of the engine power needs to be available 100% of the operation time.
    High Speed engines are used when full power is not required continously and only for limited number of hours.

  • WHERE CAN I GET TRAINING?
  • YANMAR offers technical training in various topics, including engine overhaul, assessing the condition of used parts and other maintenance topics. YANMAR has several training facilities around the world, for example in Japan, Turkey, and Philippines. You can request the full list here.
