- The addition of common rail technology to Yanmar’s 6-cylinder high speed marine engine portfolio brings major benefits to commercial marine customers looking for a cleaner engine without sacrificing power or fuel economy.
- The turbocharged and charge air cooled 6AYEM diesel is available in ratings from 485kW continuous to 749kW maximum at 1840 to 2000 rpm. It offers high torque throughout the rev range, combined with low emissions, low noise, low smoke and compact dimensions, all thanks to the careful design of the multi-point injectors and combustion chamber.
- Of particular importance to commercial vessel operators and builders is the ease of installation and maintenance. Various electronic control options all offer ease of installation and operation, while maintenance is keep simple, with all inspection ports and service points readily accessible and individual cylinder heads allowing pistons to be lifted with the engine in-situ.
