Almere, 25 July 2019. YANMAR is looking forward to show their latest technology solutions to the aquaculture industry atAqua Nor in Norway from 20-23 August. On show is the full range of Commercial Marine diesel engines varying in power from 9 to 4,500 kW and new innovations in aquaculture, for example in net cleaning. Furthermore, Yanmar will show a new UV LED sterilizer. The YANMAR stand is located in Hall A1-229.
On show is the 6CXBM super-light-duty, mechanical engine representing YANMAR’s higher-rated commercial high-speed propulsion units. This 6-cylinder engine offers direct injection and heat exchanger cooling. Its design with 4 valves per cylinder and turbocharger/intercooler ensures a higher combustion efficiency. The CXB-series complies with IMO Tier II emission regulations. 6CXBM is available in output values from 265 kW to 294 kW.
The Dtorque turbo diesel outboard engine sets a new benchmark in diesel engineering. The 804 ccm twin-cylinder aluminium powerhead delivers 50 hp at the propeller shaft and offers class-leading fuel economy and exhaust emissions that fall well within the latest EU RCD 2 limits. With a torque output, peaking at 111 Nm at 2,500 rpm, Dtorque's performance surpasses even the leading 70 hp fuel injected, four-stroke gasoline outboards. The Dtorque is the ideal choice for operating or managing work vessels, safety/rescue boats, fishing boats, port authority ships, passenger boats or super yacht tenders. Visitors can experience the benefits of the Dtorque at the Skansen area in a 7-minute, DIY test drive. Registration for a Dtorque demo by e-mail to YANMAR Norway at firstname.lastname@example.org or by visiting the stand.
Visitors can learn all about proven robust technologies, such as the Remote Net Cleaner developed by YANMAR and the Norwegian service agent Østerbø, the only net cleaning robot in the market with soft rubber belts that keeps the nets undamaged. YANMAR’s gentle belts have no sharp edges, but a rubber structure that ensures safe, good and efficient cleaning of fish farming nets. The submergible cleaner covers a wide range at fast speeds in a short period of time and guarantees cleaning also in strong currents. Only one person is needed to clean the net from the vessel without having to go into the water.
Ample information can be obtained about the 6AYEM CR (Common Rail) diesel engine, an in-line turbocharged and charge air-cooled diesel engine stand for high power in a compact package. It features outstanding economy, power and reliability with super low emissions, low noise and low smoke. The 6AYEM is compliant with all certified emission regulations for Norway and entire European market, including IMO Tier II and CCNR-2. The engine is available in ratings from 485 kW continuous to a maximum of 749 kW at 1,840 to 2,000 rpm.
Another new technology is the new compact UV LED sterilizer for water as a new sterilizing process on board fishing vessels.
How YANMAR works
All YANMAR engines are designed and built in-house by YANMAR, with priority given to lowering operational costs. This is achieved not only through low fuel consumption, but by the use of high-quality, durable parts and materials, ease of maintenance and simplified onboard systems. YANMAR also gives high priority to after-sales service, with a global network offering service depots and rapid spare parts supply. This helps vessel owners to exercise full control of operating costs. YANMAR works proactively with ship designers, ship owners and shipbuilders as well as with other equipment manufacturers and suppliers to ensure the optimum solution to each marine project. Our strategy is to focus, to be accurate, to show initiative and to provide the right solution for each project.
YANMAR Marine diesel engine range
YANMAR marine diesel engines are used worldwide in commercial ships, e.g. ocean-going vessels, life fish carriers, fishing vessels, workboats, offshore support boats and many more. YANMAR’s marine engine range includes three major categories:
· Medium-speed propulsion diesel engines (374 kW-4500 kW) known for their low fuel oil consumption with reduced NOx emissions and easy maintenance.
· Auxiliary medium-speed engines (80 kWe-4500 kWe) widely used for diesel generator sets for generating stable electrical power at sea and in port.
· High-speed commercial engines, compact and robust, (9 kW to 1340 kW) with high-power output and high combustion performance.
The range includes engines that comply with European emission standards and various IACS quality certifications (International Association of Classification Societies).
