YANMAR MAKES STRATEGIC CHANGE FOR CHS ACTIVITIES

Almere, April 2020. As of 1 April, 2020, YANMAR Europe (YEU) and YANMAR Norge (YNO) have agreed to transfer all Commercial High-Speed (CHS) engines sales and after-sales activities in Norway to YEU.

From this date on, the Commercial Marine Department at YEU in The Netherlands is responsible for all sales, after-sales and spare parts inquiries for CHS dealers in Europe, Russia and Africa. The YEU department will handle all inquiries for commercial high speed engines in Norway with authorised dealers.

The market for marine engines is changing rapidly, partly due to increasingly strict emission regulations. With this change, YANMAR brings further development and retention of the market for Commercial High-Speed engines into one central strategy, providing solid support for further growth and the opportunity to build new relationships with owners in Norway and beyond.

New CHS sales manager at YEU

As of this date, Johnny Huisman of YEU is responsible as sales engineer for the CHS market. With many years of experience in sales in the marine industry and practical knowhow on board of superyachts, he will focus on further developing the market for Commercial High-Speed engines.

“This strategic change is the next step in the development of the Commercial High Speed (CHS) market for YANMAR. We aim to fulfil the requirements of CHS customers in the Norway. This change will contribute to further strengthening of the direct contact with our Norwegian dealers, vessel owners and expand their businesses together with YEU,” says Eric Tigelaar, the Manager of Commercial Marine business unit at Yanmar Europe in The Netherlands.
